• 3.0 out of 5 stars from A.R. -- A Halloween Hallmark With Less Development *spoilers* : I wanted to like this SO badly, but it read like a first draft and lacked any emotional expression. I read what their emotions were, but didn't feel them at all. It lacked the classic 'show, don't tell.' Not to mention it seemed like every single character was either half developed or had an identical personality to the other person in the scene with them. I don't know if this is truly the author's fault, as I did just come off reading one of the best and most perfect novels of my life. So this may be overly critical. A little dash of spookiness, a whole lot of cozy fall vibes, witches, magic, humor, and a swoony sweet romance. The main character is incredibly relatable. What 19 year old girl with a broken heart hasn't hoped to hex their ex?! This is definitely going to be on my fall reading list for years to come. An absolute joy to read!
