I already had one book on animal housing and was interested to see if this book had a substantially different take. Based on the cover picture and the mention of livestock in the product description, I fully expected a hobby farmer's book, but this book is meant for the homeowner. There are a few plans for larger animals, but this book focuses on smaller designs like housing for pet snakes or your one dog. It is meant for pet people, not farmers and ranchers. There is even a picture of sheep in sheep pen on the cover. But the book concentrates mostly I’m small, indoor pets. So that was a little disappointing.
